Duties of your Executor – Are you likely to receive an inheritance ?

Are you expecting to receive money, personal items or real estate under a Will?

If yes, then a you might be a beneficiary.

As a beneficiary, you have a right to make sure that you receive what is gifted to you in the Will.

Wills usually have a person named as the Executor of the Will.

The executor of the Will has duties and obligations to make sure that all the wishes in the Will are actioned.

One of the obligations of an executor is to distribute the gifts in the Will to the beneficiaries.

An action can be taken against the executor in the Supreme Court if you think that the executor is not doing their job properly, or at all.
